Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator has a four-door crew cab and a 5-foot bed in the back. It comes in one of four basic trim levels. The entry trim is the Sport, which is followed by the midrange Overland. The Rubicon is an off-road-themed trim, while the Mojave is geared specifically for sand running on the beach or dunes. A wide range of sub-trims and appearance packages are also available, including the classic Willys and Willys Sport, the Sport S, the Freedom, and the High Altitude. Engine (Power)
Two powertrains can be had to drive your new 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Most Gladiators are powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that gives you 285 horsepower and generates 260 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Fans of diesel power will appreciate the upgraded 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6, which nets 260 horsepower with 442 pound-feet of torque, mated to the standard six-speed automatic transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic. The Mojave gets the turbo-diesel engine and eight-speed transmission standard.
Performance
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator offers outstanding performance for an SUV/pickup crossover. For towing, you will want to properly equip the Gladiator with the towing package and a Class IV tow hitch. When equipped in this manner, the Gladiator has a maximum towing capability of 7,700 pounds, which is a best-in-class maximum towing rating for small gas-powered pickup trucks. In the bed, it boasts a maximum payload of 1,710 pounds in four-wheel drive. Its ground clearance of 11.6 inches is also the best in its class. You can even ford water in the Gladiator up to a depth of 31.5 inches.
Interior
