2023 Jeep Compass

Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Jeep Compass comes in a choice of eight trim levels. At the base level, you get the Sport. The mid-range trim is the Latitude, which receives some luxury touches at the Latitude Lux third level. The Limited offers full upscale features, while the Trailhawk is the off-road-badged trim level. Additional trim levels which add enhanced style elements to the Compass include the (Red) Edition, the Altitude, and the High Altitude packages. The (Red) Edition, in particular, brings a unique Redline color roof, granite-colored wheels, and neutral gray grille rings, roof rails, and side body glass.
Engine (Power)
A single powertrain is available to drive every trim level of the new 2023 Jeep Compass. This engine, while still a turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, is an upgrade from the previous year's model, which delivers more power and torque to get you where you need to go, no matter what the terrain or weather conditions might be. The turbo inline-four engine on this year's Compass gives you 200 horsepower and backs it up with 221 pound-feet of torque. It's matched up with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Another upgrade over last year is that the 2023 Jeep Compass comes at every trim level with standard all-wheel drive. The off-road-oriented (and specially badged) Trailhawk trim level kicks up the performance to a new level. It gives you features such as special raised suspension and off-road tires, underbody skid plates, hill descent control, and low-range gearing. It also features a Rock driving mode that lets you crawl over the roughest terrain. Finally, you get tow hooks that, when properly equipped, provide a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.
Interior
The cabin design offers tons of space for carrying gear and for the driver and passengers. The total interior volume measures 126.7 cubic feet, with 27.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the seats folded down, the maximum cargo space expands to 59.8 cubic feet. The infotainment system is driven by a big base 10.1-inch touchscreen interface for the Uconnect software, which boasts quick responsiveness and intuitive use, plus full smartphone integration. You can even get luxury-level features like full leather upholstery at the Latitude Lux trim.
Safety Features
Safety features include all the active, intelligent driver aids you expect, including frontal collision warning and mitigation with emergency braking functionality, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functions, active lane management, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alerts. When you step up to higher levels, you add additional features such as a drowsy driver attention warning system to keep you alert, available parking sensors and a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and a back seat monitor to remind you to check the back seats before you get out of the car.
